I wasnt able to made this page without the help from a kind person from the Horten (now Roserock) Festival
so you understand that im thankfull to the festival website for their great spirit and help.

This date was knows as "in Oslo" that's not correct because Oslo is another city in Norway

it's funny to see that the wailers themself were thinkin' that they were gonna perform in Oslo as well

An amazing fact came from the Horten festival members, who while doing research into their basement
found the setlist written into a piece of paper (scan 1) as well as a set of 30 unreleased photo's of the Wailers

There was no opening act before the concert in 1978 as I can recall Wictor told me :

"I held the umbrella for Bob Marley and they went straight on the stage."
(the fact that it was a rainy days is confirmed inside the "songs of freedom" book)

before they jump on stage , they were introduced by someone who's a well know person in Norway today.

he said to the audience that they were not able to understand the meaning
or what was happening this special day, and what they have accomplished by getting
bob marley and the wailers in Norway.

According to them , they knows better nowdays and they Will never, ever forget it.

Horten is a norwegian naval town, music festivals are held inside it since 1975.
It was formerly knows as the Horten Festival and nowdays it's called the Roserock Festival

the wailers were not the only reggae band over the years to goes to that nice place

some others amazing legend of roots and reggae music did it or gonna do it , just to name a few:

Peter Tosh in 1979, Toots And The Maytals in 1980, The Legendary Wailers in 2004
