In the years since it opened, it has been the site of the 1984 Olympics gymnastics
The 1992 MTV Video Awards , hundreds of concerts , a 1988 presidential debate between George Bush
and Michael Dukakis , and of course the UCLA men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams
