At first i would admit that the sounding is quite surprising , more crisp ,clear
My personal tips would be that if you can get it at a bargain price get it, you gonna be surprised by the sound

First of all, this cd series was aimed for the japanese market as a limited serie, numbered
Secondly, the cds were mastered with high quality audio standards, but are playable in every cd players.
Third, in each volume of the serie being a mini lp replica, cardboard sleeve with lyrics in japanese and english.

This one being the first one of this limited serie, the obi strip including a red number '1'

This album , the one who really launched The Wailers band , is also one of the first album with an unusual cover
the zippo one, you should know about this fact, aint you ? :)


There's 'so much things to say' about the album, recorded in jamaica, in stereo, released to the world in April 1973.

This release is similar in terms of music and tracks to the Deluxe edition, 2 cd
one the unreleased jamaican mixes and the second the worldwide released album (catalogue numbers : ILPS 9241)

I was talking with someone , who knows deeply the reggae music industry and he told me that in fact this release at this time
wasnt too be seen as a real succes in terms of sales.

Catch A Fire ,,, i read somewhere that this sentence was also a slaves chant.

The album featuring tracks such concrete jungle,slave driver, peter's 400 years, that wonderfull kinky reggae
almost each songs inclued inside the album being a hit, there's also a nice 'midnight ravers' who get all his power while being played live on stage by The Wailers.
