History of the Uprising album :

The Uprising original Lp (island ilps 9596) was originaly released june 10 1980
Uprising Paper sleeve cd edition (island PHCR-94710) ( scan 1)
The Uprising remaster series (island 2001 548 902-2) released 31 july 2001 (scan 2)

Uprising was an instant hit, which was followed by a major European tour that included the biggest shows in the band's history
Uprising was also the final studio album to be released during Bob Marley lifetime.

This album is one of Marley's most directly religious, with nearly every song addressing his Rastafarian beliefs,
culminating in the acoustic folk classic, "Redemption Song".

Uprising peaked at N°41 on Billboard's (North America) Black Albums chart, and n°45 on the Pop Albums chart.
"Could you be loved" was n°6 and n°56 respectively on the Club Play Singles and Black Singles charts.
