Uprising original Album LP (island ILPS 9596) was originaly released june 10 1980.
Uprising was an instant hit, which was followed by a major European tour that included the biggest shows in the band's history
Uprising was also the final studio album to be released during Bob Marley lifetime.
This album is one of Marley's most directly religious, with nearly every song addressing his Rastafarian beliefs,
culminating in the acoustic folk classic, "Redemption Song".
Uprising peaked at Number 41 on Billboard's (North America) Black Albums chart, and number 45 on the Pop Albums chart.
"Could you be loved" was number 6 and number 56 respectively on the Club Play Singles and Black Singles charts.
