the label name came from Johnny Nash Arthur Jenkins Danny Sims names.

he sold the contract 5 years later to Chris Blackwell in 1972

Danny sims always said :

"i recognized the talent in Bob Marley and did my best to prepare his music for American radio"

The 21 january 2004 Universal Music signed a 10-year deal with JAD Records
to release early Marley and Wailers material, including back catalogue and unreleased songs.

The early work of Bob Marley and the Wailers is to be re-released by Universal Music International
through a 10-year licensing deal the company has signed with JAD Records.

The collection includes 211 recordings made between 1967 and 1972, includes rare and unreleased tracks.
